There are some freeware applications for S60 3rd that require us to visit a web site on our mobile devices. Since typing URL on a mobile device is not a nice experience, I have collected some useful links for you.
The links below are the ones that are not available via Download! application. For example, a freeware application that I develop, Screenshot for Symbian OS, is available on Download! application in the Special Offer section of Handango.
To access the links , you need bar code reader (see also BarCode Reader on S60 Devices). There are some bar code reader applications out there, such as Nokia Barcode Reader and Kaywa Reader.
GMail for Mobile - http://gmail.com/app
Google Maps for Mobile - http://www.google.com/gmm
MOSH - http://mosh.nokia.mobi/start
Opera Mini - http://mini.opera.com/
(You have to scroll down a little bit to find the download link).
Yahoo Go! - http://get.go.yahoo.com

Update (29-Oct-2007): Added download link to MOSH.

Today (October 15), bloggers around the web unite to put a single important issues on everyone’s mind - the environment. The aim is to save our planet for a better future.
As mobile phone users, what can we do to save our planet?
- Don’t leave chargers plugged in. After charging your device, remove it from the electric socket. Unfortunately there is no chargers for S60 devices that support automatic on/off switch (or is there one?)
- Recycle old devices. Some manufacturers have initiatives of taking back devices from their customers for recycling. See some links at the end of this blog.
- Let your PC gets some sleep. Turn your PC on only when you need it.
If you are interested to find out more information about energy saving actions, please download a free booklet from Greenpeace, How to Save the Climate.
