A few months ago, I compared several VoIP applications. My favorite VoIP application is Truphone. Although some other applications, especially Gizmo, have shown some improvements, Truphone is still my favorite one. That’s why; I think it would be a good idea to mention Truphone in Featured Freeware section.

What is Truphone?

Truphone routes your mobile calls via the internet. That means free mobile calls to other Truphone users & very cheap calls to anyone else.

You can use it on Nokia Nseries and Eseries phone. Please check this page to find the list of all compatible devices. Unfortunately, you cannot use Truphone on your PC. Perhaps this is the only drawback that I don’t like about Truphone. Gizmo, for example, allows us to make a call from our phone as well as from our PC.
