It?s been a while since I wrote my posting about photo sharing using Flickr and S60 device. Nokia has just recently updated their photo sharing application. It is called Nokia Online Share 2.0. To download it, just go to the address below:
http://europe.nokia.com/sharingandblogging
By default, Nokia Online Share 2.0 support Flickr and Vox. However, you can add other providers as well as long as they support Atom API.
Before you can use photo sharing service of Nokia Online Share 2.0, you need to activate it. If you go to the main menu and select Options | Activate menu. It should launch web browser where you can enter your user name and password.

There are two ways of uploading pictures to Flickr or Vox. The first one is from within Nokia Online Share application. Select Options | New post menu. If you want to enter tag, enter “Tags: ” in the description followed by the tags (see right screenshot below).

The second way is from Gallery application. Select your picture and then select Options | Send | Web upload menu.

Compatible devices: S60 3rd Edition, Nokia Nseries.

Nokia has just released a new service, called MOSH. It stands for MObilize and SHare. Actually the alpha version has been around for quite some time; but the beta version has just been announced officially last week.
So, what is MOSH all about? It is another social networking site dedicated for mobile devices. You can share and manage digital contents, including images, videos, audio, applications, games and even documents. Basically it is like YouTube, Flickr with additional support to other content types.
You can manage your contents on the web via http://mosh.nokia.com. The access to this beta version is still restricted. You need to enter password to access it. The password is ALLACCESS. I have no idea why it is still password-protected since many people know it already.
You can also use a client application on your S60 device. Just point your Web browser to http://mosh.nokia.mobi/start to download it. As of the writing of this posting, the client application basically just launches the Web browser. So, it is not really a full-features client application yet.

In my opinion, the user interface of MOSH is a little bit complicated. For example, I don’t know how to change my current device. My device is still shown as Nokia N73 now; although I have change mine to Nokia N95.
What is also confusing is the terms used by MOSH. For example, when I first saw “My Collections”, I thought it should be the collection of my contents. Apparently, it is some kind of “My Favorites” folder.

Give MOSH a try and let me know your opinion.
Compatible devices: S60 2nd, 3rd Edition, Nokia Nseries, Nokia Eseries.
Update (07-Sep-2007): The password to access MOSH has been removed. Now, it is officially available for public.
Smartphoneware just released a desktop application for S60 3rd, called Tracker. Tracker is a fully customizable desktop application with hundreds of functions and possibilities transforming your S60 device into a powerful organizer.
Tracker for s60 3rd edition
What can you do with Tracker? You can have desktop-like appearance on your device, such as adding shortcuts to applications, folders, notes and speed contacts. The right screenshot below an example of notes.

Tracker replaces the default S60 task manager. It is definitely better than the default one because you can get more information, such as free memory, free space, even detail information about application (see right screenshot).

Compatible devices: S60 3rd Edition, Nokia Nseries, Nokia Eseries.
