If you have missed the previous postings about Google, please see the following pages for the first part, second part and third part.
This posting discusses about 411 feature on Google. It is available on every mobile phone in the US by calling 1-800-GOOG-411.

For those who are outside the US/Canada, 4-1-1 is a telephone number for local directory assistance. You can look for the address and phone number of residence of business. According to Wikipedia, there are about 150 million numbers are available in the US/Canada.
Unfortunately, GOOG-411 is now available in the US only. Since I live in Canada; so I couldn?t really test it. However, I have tried to look for simple queries in famous cities, such as ?McDonald? in ?Seattle, Washington?. Their voice recognition is pretty good. My accent is very Asian; and GOOG-411 does not have difficulty recognizing my words.
Recently, Google just announced a new feature, “map-it”. If we say “map-it”, GOOG-411 will send a text message to our phone with the link to a map of our results.
