I have written a posting about EQO almost 1 year ago, Cheap Voice Calling via VoIP. The first idea of EQO, I guess, is supporting VoIP on our mobile phones, including S60 phones.

EQO Mobile has created “wow” response from many advanced users. It was one of early products that supports VoIP on S60 phones. Although it works fine, there was a usability problem. It uses callback feature to make VoIP. It means when we make a phone call, we have to wait EQO server to establish connection between us and the person whom we want to talk to.

What I want to highlight on this posting is not about VoIP, but another feature that is instant messaging. EQO Mobile supports almost all of the popular instant messaging protocols, i.e.:
