As I mentioned on my last posting, How to Copy Images/Videos to Your PC, you can use either Nokia Image Store or Nokia Lifeblog to copy your images/videos. I would recommend Nokia Image Store if you prefer to use third party management software, such as:

If you don’t have preferences, you can start with Nokia Lifeblog.

Nokia Image Store is actually part of Nokia PC Suite. Once you install PC Suite, you should have it already. If you don’t have PC Suite, you can download it here.

How to use Nokia Image Store?

  • Firstly, launch P Suite and then select Store images icon. Although it says “Store images”, but it copies videos too.

  • If you use Image Store for the first time, there will be wizard. It will guide you to setup your environment, such as what to copy, images folder, etc. If you don’t care about them, just use default settings (read: just press Next button each time a new dialog pops up… :))

  • After everything has been setup, you are ready. Each time you want to synchronize, you can run Nokia Image Store and click Store now button. Note that you can also synchronize automatically each time you connect your phone to your PC. There is one option in the Settings dialog that you can enable.

What’s next? The next step is adding the folder where Image Store copies your images/videos on your management software. For example, if you are using Google Picasa, you can select File | Add folder to Picasa menu. It allows Picasa to monitor your Image Store’s folder. In other words, each you have new images/videos on your phones, they will be added to Picasa automatically.
