Many people would prefer to use web-based feed reader. Why? It is mainly because we can read our feeds anywhere, on our PC at home/work and our mobile phone.
There are two competing web-based feed reader for mobile usage, i.e. Bloglines Mobile and Google Reader Mobile. Which one is better?
Recently, Tommi Vilkammo from S60 Blogs, wrote a posting, Google Reader Rocks.
I find myself using it more than any other functionality on my Nokia N73. And I love the fact that I can access the same feeds via work computer, via home computer, and via mobile.
Hitwise just published market share of US Internet visits a couple of days ago. According to their research, Bloglines is the most popular feed reader, followed by Rojo, another web-based feed reader. Google Reader has 1/13th of the market share of Bloglines.
I have used Bloglines and Google Reader and I like both of them. Which one would I recommend? My recommendation is try both of them. Do not only use them on your S60 phone, but also on your PC.
After using them for a while, you can decide which one meets your needs. For me, to be honest, I am primarily using Bloglines.
