I use mine in church all the time. My advice to you is ignore the stigma about mobile devices. Make sure you don\’t find yourself checking your texts during the lulls, but most importantly, come to terms with the fact that you\’re not there for them. If it\’s making noises or distracting them from the message (the one from God not your girlfriend) that\’s one thing, but otherwise it\’s like comparing who has the best suit. I\’m not bringing a 3 foot by 1.5 foot bible, written on parchment in old English by jewish gnomes to prove my piety.

Whats wrong with you people? Use your mobile to read the Word in church and tell the people who have a problem with it to stuff it. Thats what Jesus would have done.

This is not an eBook reader but if you want a FREE, simple to install, modern translation of the bible for your s60 it is difficult to go past the GoBible app with the NET Bible translation.

I think it won’t need 10 years, may be in the next 3-5 years, it is already acceptable…

One thing that I noticed, there is no “easy” way for ordinary users to install Bible in S60. IMHO, it is still too complicated for them.

Glad to have helped. It seems that there are more ways to get the bible on S60 thateven I had realised.

To be honest, when you get a ‘phone’ out in church you get some very strange looks, people think you’re playing a game or sending texts. Maybe in 10 years time it’ll be more ‘acceptable’. 8-(
