Last week, Nokia has just announced Flickr Uploader for Nokia N-Series. Nokia N93, N73 and N72 are the first devices that support Flickr Uploader. Rafe Blandford from AllAboutSymbian even said that it works with other N-Series too, such as Nokia N70 and N90.

Besides Flickr Uploader, I have heard rumors about ShoZu for S60 3rd Edition that will be available very soon (mid July 2006?)

Now we have several different software to flickr our pictures from S60 phones. The good news is that all of them are free, so you can choose either one of them.

  • Nokia Lifeblog. Lifeblog is actually designated for general blogging purpose. Flickr is one of the supported blogging services.
  • Flickr Uploader. The latest plug-in from Nokia that is integrated nicely into S60’s Gallery application.
  • ShoZu. It might be the most popular software used to flickr our pictures. The download and activation process are a little bit complicated though.

After this posting, I will post three other blogs that show you how to flickr your pictures from S60 phones. I will not recommend which software is the best. Try them and experience yourself.

Before flickring any pictures, I would like to remind you that the cost of data usage is very expensive in many countries. Check with your network operator how much you have to pay for data usage. I would recommend using WiFi whenever possible… :)
