Google Maps for Mobile is the mobile version of the popular Google Maps. Now you have the earth’s map inside your pocket. Isn’t it cool? To download Google Maps for Mobile, launch Web browser on your S60 phones and then visit http://www.google.com/gmm. If you are asked which version to download, just select high-end phones version because all S60 phones can be categorized as high-end phones.

Here is the list of some cool things you can do with Google Maps for Mobile:

• Looking for step-by-step directions from one place to another place.

• Get satellite’s view of your desired location.

• Finding local business locations near your desired location.

Compatible devices: S60 2nd, 3rd Edition, Nokia Nseries, Nokia Eseries.

Some of the latest S60 3rd Edition phones, such as Nokia E60, Nokia E61, Nokia E70, Nokia 3250, Nokia N80, Nokia N71, Nokia N91 and Nokia N92, are shipped with a very good web browser, i.e. S60 OSS Browser. Unfortunately users of previous S60 phones cannot use this nice browser.

Note that S60 OSS Browser is usually called “Web” in the menu and it is usually located in My Own folder (it may be different between phones). Don’t get confused with Services application, which is the old Web browser.

There are some useful shortcuts in S60 OSS Browser. For example, you can press # key to zoom out the page or press * key to zoom in the page. Here is the list of shortcuts in S60 OSS Browser:

• # - Zoom out the page.

• * - Zoom in the page.

• 1 - Open your Bookmarks.

• 2 -Open dialog to find text in the page.

• 3 - Return to the previous page.
• 5 - Select window. This is useful when you are visiting a web page that opens pop-up window. Otherwise this feature may not be used so often.

• 8 - Switch to the full page view and back to the normal view.

• 9 - Enter and go to a different Web page.

Podcasting technology has arrived on S60 platform now. Nokia just released Nokia Podcasting for S60 3rd Edition phones. Although the Web site indicates it is for Nokia N91, but you should be able to install it on other S60 3rd phones too.

I have one tip for you who will be using non-N91 phones, use a large memory card. Nokia Podcasting will be downloading podcast files to your memory card, so you can easily fill it up.
